Marion+Polk First PAC has made our first endorsements of 2022!

City Council races are critically important to the future of our communities. But the winners are decided in the May primaries, not November. So if you want change in Salem in regards to homelessness, building a new bridge into West Salem and more funding for our police departments it’s important to vote when you get your ballot in a few weeks!

We have two excellent endorsed candidates for Salem City Council:

Deanna Gwyn is running for the Ward 4 seat which encompasses South Salem heading out of the city. She has lived in Salem for 40 years, and wants to see a real change in city council. Her top priorities are the homelessness crisis, crime, and housing affordability.

We believe that Deanna is an excellent candidate for the people of South Salem. For more information on Deanna be sure to check out her website.

Chris Cummings is running for the Ward 8 seat this May, which encompasses most of West Salem. Chris hopes to inspire change in Salem where he was born and raised. He’s lived in West Salem for 14 years. Chris shares Deanna's concerns about homelessness, public safety, and making sure Salem can stay affordable for residents. Chris has a strong passion for his community and wants to see change for the better for Salem residents.

Marion+Polk First stands behind Chris in his race for Ward 8. You can support Chris and learn more about his campaign by visiting his website.
